Recent Recalls: Sunbeam Heated Blankets, Fredericksburg Farm Candles, Pfizer Nurtec Drugs

Sunbeam is recalling about 60,000 queen sized heated blankets sold in the U.S. and Canada. They can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.

his recall involves the Sunbeam Queen Size Heated Blanket, model number 32810027. The blankets were sold with detachable controllers and in the following colors: beige, ivory, light green, dark blue, light blue, burgundy, dark gray, light gray and gray violet. The Sunbeam logo and the model number are printed on the wash label affixed to the blanket.

Consumers should immediately stop using and unplug the recalled blankets and contact Star Elite for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to complete the online recall registration form available at www.productrecall.sunbeamhome.com and to destroy the blanket by cutting the power cord at the plug, marking an “X” with permanent marker on the wash label and sending the recalling firm a photo of the destroyed blanket.

The firm has received 13 reports of the blankets overheating. No injuries have been reported. They were sold Online at Amazon.com and small independent stores nationwide from September 2022 through January 2023 for about $120.

Fredericksburg Farms Scented Candles

Fredericksburg Farms is recalling 10-ounce scented candles with glass lids.

Some of the glass lids are too tight causing the jar to break when the lid is forcibly removed, posing a laceration hazard.

This recall involves 10-ounce Scented Candles in a square glass jar with a glass lid. The model number and UPC code are printed on the label on the bottom of the jar.   Fredericksburg Farms is printed on the front of the jar.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled scented candles and should not attempt to forcibly remove the lid if it does not come off easily. Contact Fredericksburg Farms for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund.

They were sold at Buc-ee’s stores and other smaller gift shops in the South and Southwest United States and online at www.fbgfarms.com from October 2022 through February 2023 for about $18.

Pfizer Nurtec ODT Prescription Drugs

         

The recalled prescription drugs must be in child resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The packaging of the products is not child resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.

Consumers should immediately secure the recalled product out of the sight and reach of children and contact Pfizer for a free child resistant pouch to store the product. Once the product is secured, consumers can continue to use it as directed.

About 4.2 million packages are included in the recall.
