Recent Recalls: Anker Power Banks, Adult Bed Rails, Baby Crib Bumpers

Anker 535 Mobile Power Banks (PowerCore 20k) with model number A1366 are being recalled. It can be used to charge multiple devices from laptops, tablets or phones with a 30W maximum output. The mobile power bank comes with two USB cables and in a variety of colors. The power bank measures about 3 inches wide, 6 inches long and 1 inch deep. Anker is engraved on the front and the model number A1366 is on the back of the power bank.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled power banks and contact Fantasia Trading to receive a full refund as well as instructions for properly disposing of lithium-ion batteries according to local and state regulations. Fantasia Trading and its retailers are notifying all known purchasers directly.

The firm has received 10 reports of incidents involving overheating, including one report of minor injuries.

The units were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Anker.com, Amazon.com and eBay.com from October 2022 through January 2023 for about $70.                                

Recalled lithium-ion batteries should be disposed of in accordance with any local and state ordinances, following the procedures established by your municipal recycling center for damaged/defective/recalled lithium batteries, because these potentially hazardous batteries must be handled differently than other batteries. Do not throw this recalled battery in the trash. Do not deposit this recalled battery in used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores.

Vaunn Medical Adult Bed Rails

Vaunn Medical adult bed rails are being recalled. When they are attached to an adult’s bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. This poses a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation.

The bed rails were sold Online at BeyondMedShop.com, Amazon,com, Walmart.com and eBay from December 2018 through December 2022 for between $40 and $80.          

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bed rails and contact BeyondMedShop for a free repair. The firm expects the remedy to be available in May 2023.

Meiling Hou Baby Crib Bumpers                                

This recall involves NO1 and NO2 baby crib bumpers. The padded cotton bumpers measure 79 inches long by 12 inches tall and were sold in a clear zip bag. Crib bumpers NO1 are white and gray and have a cloud pattern. Crib bumpers NO2 are white.            

Infants can suffocate if they roll or move on the crib bumper in a position that obstructs breathing. Padded crib bumpers are banned under federal law.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled crib bumpers and contact Meiling Hou for a full refund. Consumers who purchased the crib bumpers will be asked to cut the tie strings of the crib bumper and send the recalling firm a photo of the destroyed product at houmeiling111@outlook.com. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued a full refund of the purchase price. Meiling Hou is contacting all known purchasers directly.

The bumpers were sold online at Aliexpress.com and Temu.com from November 2022 through January 2023 for about $26.
