Certified Expert Program

Training Where It Counts

The Consumer Education Council’s Certified Expert program trains salespeople, customer service representatives (CSR) and others who routinely come into contact with consumers who are seeking information about products and services.

Currently, many of these CSRs may rely largely on the sales information provided by their employers. CEC’s Certified Expert program ensures that those who successfully complete the training will have a firm understanding of the standards and specifications applicable to the products and services their brand offers.

Subject Areas

Certified Expert training is being offered in an expanding number of fields, including:

Aging in place Home improvements and retrofitting to make homes safer and more convenient for seniors, including security systems, mobility aids, and walk-in bathtubs.

Elder care Whether seniors live independently or in an assisted living complex, nursing home, or in their longtime family home, successful aging takes planning.

Insurance Home, health, life and auto insurance are essentials of modern life.

Warranties Extended car warranties, home warranties and other service plans can save time and money when used properly.

Moving Few things are more stressful than moving. Besides movers, auto transporters and short-term housing, there are mortgages and rental contracts to be dealt with.
